We will only be there a few hours, and then we will go to the Activity Center to clean trailer and closet. Lunch we be served with pickup at 3pm
May is going to be a busy month with 2 camping trips in the plans.

May 19th-21st- Camping at the Outer Banks. We will leave the Center around noon on Friday and return Sunday at a time to be determined later. The cost will be about $60 or less.
The troop has decided to attend Summer Camp as well as the D.C. trip. Summer Camp is scheduled for the 18th-24th of June. The fee for summer camp is $140 if paid by the 5th of May. There is an early bird payment of $20 due by April 13th. If the total payment is paid after the May 5th deadline the cost is $175. Beth Whitley has volunteered to be the scoutmaster for summer camp this year but she is needing some help. If we could pull together and give her some adult leadership backup by giving her at least 1 day and 1 night so the troop will have its 2 leaders. If you can help please contact her for more information. We will try to plan the swim test before camp. No cost to adults.
The date for the DC trip will be July 1st – 8th. We will leave at 8am on the 1st and return at 5pm on the 8th. Paul Mason is heading up this trip. We will be camping at the same place as last time. More details will be announced as they become available. The cost will be determined according on how many attend. There is a $50 nonrefundable deposit due to hold your sons place.
As you have all noticed the church has started remodeling the Center and we have been asked to find another place to meet starting sometime in May. This we will be announced as the time gets closer. Please check web site or contact me for any questions.
Now to talk about your son’s advancement or should I say lack of. I know that all scouts go thru a period of where they just want to have fun and that is fine but we still need to keep them focused on their finale goal of Eagle Scout. I gave all the scouts a copy of their records so they could help me update and to show them what they need to do for their next rank. If you ask them they should have this.
8-2-2005 Woody is taking off the month of August. He's done a great job this year, and summer camp was excellent. He'll be back in the saddle in September. Paul Mason has agreed to be the Scoutmaster this month, with the help of Chris Swan as his assistant.
